Chidambaram reviews overall situation in J&K

Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, has expressed satisfaction on the overall improvement in security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The Home Minister today took a detailed review of all aspects of the situation in a highly level review meeting at Srinagar. State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Deputy Chief Minister Tarachand and senior officers of Central and State Government attended the meeting which lasted for more than two hours. He appreciated the steps taken by the State Government to ensure a peaceful summer this year. Our correspondent reoports, the Union Home Minister is now in Pahalgam in Anantnag district where he is reviewing security arrangements for the forthcoming Amarnath yatra.
