Home Minister P Chidambaram today promised to help enhance the capacity of skill development institutes for differently-abled people to help them get jobs. Addressing a function organised by the National Centre for Promotion of Employment of Disabled People (NCPEDP) in New Delhi, Mr Chidambaram said laws have been made, amended and implemented but the laws have not been able to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of differently-able people. The Home minister said he would take up the issue with concerned authorities for building capacity of skill development institutes for differently-able people.Earlier, the Home Minister presented the 12th NCPEDP-SHELL Helen Keller awards.
