The Union Home Minister Mr. P Chidambaram today contended that he was not present when the Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind adopted a resolution about Vande Mataram at its 30th general session in Deoband on Tuesday. <br/>In a statement the Home Minister said that he was present in the conference between 10 am and 12 noon and no such resolution were passed during that period. Reacting to a statement of BJP, he said that the Home Minister was reading from a prepared text and there was no occasion to depart from that text. <br/>
