A Conference of Southern Chief Ministers is underway in Bangalore under the Chairmanship of Union Minister of Finance Mr.P Chidambaram. Various issues pertaining to financial policies and programmes and state specific concerns are said to be discussed in the meeting. Chief Minister of Karnataka Jagadish Shettar, Mr.Kiran Kumar Reddy of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister of Puducherry Mr.Rangasamy, Finance Minister of Tamil Nadu O Panneerselvam and Finance Minister of Kerala Mr.Mani are participating in the conference. The Chief Executive officers of the selected Public Sector banks are also taking part in the discussion during the conference.
