Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram arrived in Srinagar today on a 2 day visit of the valley. Soon after his arrival, he met State Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhawan. The present security situation, smooth conduct of Amarnath Yatra and overall development of the state was discussed during the meeting. The Home Minister will be meeting Chief Minister, senior officers of law enforcing agencies and the representatives of state administration at SKICC tomorrow. The overall security scenario and the Amarnath Yatra besides the general development of the state is expected to be discussed threadbare in the meeting. After the meeting the Home Minister is expected to visit Pahalgam.
