Home Minister P. Chidambaram has arrived in Islamabad for crucial talks on terrorism with his Pakistani counterpart Rehman Malik. The talks will take on the sidelines of SAARC Home Ministers meeting on Saturday.<br/><br/>According to official sources, Chidambaram will press for the speedy trial of those involved in the Mumbai terror attack including LeT founder Hafiz Saeed, Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi and the other handlers who directed the 26/11 attacks. The interogation with master mind of the attack Headley may also come up for discussion. Sources said that India wants Pakistan to ensure that there are no more terror attacks on India and Indian interests. The Home Minister will also take up the issue of infiltration from across the LoC and the issue of cease fire violation.<br/><br/>Before his departure, the Home Minister approved the release of four Pakistani prisoners as a gesture of goodwill. The prisoners who are currently lodged in various jails in Gujarat will be repatriated from the Attari border on Wednesday next week and handed over to Pakistan Rangers.<br/><br/>Mr. Chidambaram visit to Pakistan follows the talks between the Foreign Secretaries of India and Pakistan which were aimed that bridging the trust deficit.<br/><br/>At the SAARC meeting greater regional cooperation on combating terrorism and checking trafficking in narcotics are among the issues to be discussed by the Home Ministers from the regional body.
