Chidambaram arrives in Imphal on two-day visit to Manipur

Union Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram arrived in Imphal on a two-day visit to Manipur. Soon after his arrival, he visited the Senapati District Headquarters by a special helicopter and inaugurated a 50- bedded Hospital, a Guest House, Mini-Secretariat and a multipurpose building.

Speaking at the inaugural function of the mini secretariat building, Mr. Chidambaram said all complex issues confronting in the state of Manipur can be resolved amicably through dialogue. He assured that dearth of funds for the state will not be a problem.

The Home Minister will also visit Ukhrul District where he will inaugurate the SDO and SPDO office complexes and a power sub-station. He will chair a review meeting of the Jiribam-Tupul- Imphal railway live and storage facilities for food grains and petroleum products.
