Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram arrived in Imphal this evening on a two-day visit to Manipur. He was accompanied by Joint Secretary (North East) of the Ministry, Shambhu Singh and Special Director, Intelligence Bureau R L Ravi. The Home Minister discussed law and order situation of the state with state Governor Gurbachan Jagat and Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh at the Raj Bhawan. He will go to Ukhrul tomorrow morning to inaugurate the newly constructed Mini Secretariat building and Guest House at the Ukhrul District Headquarters. The Home Minister will also meet representatives of civil society organizations and media at Imphal tomorrow afternoon.
