India and Indonesia today felt that there was no need to exchange notes to formalise the extradition treaty as the pact is already in force. This was informed by MEA Secretary (East) Anil Wadhwa in a press conference at Jakarta this evening. <br/><br/>Mr Wadhwa said, the issue of extradition of Chhota Rajan did not appear during the bilateral talks between Vice President Hamid Ansari and his counterpart Jusuf Kalla this morning. <br/><br/>He said that the underworld don arrested at Bali last week will be deported to India and the legal proceedings are underway. He reiterated that Indonesian agencies are cooperating in the matter.<br/><br/>The Secretary said that the on the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Indonesian President Joko Widodo will visit New Delhi early next year which will be reciprocated by Mr Modi's visit to Jakarta.<br/><br/> Earlier,Vice President Md Ansari called on Indonesian President. He also met foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and the ruling party Chairperson Megha Sukarnoputri. The Vice President will leave for Bali tomorrow.
