<span style="color: #222222;">In Chhattisgarh, a record number of over 95 per cent of total registered farmers have sold their paddy during the current Kharif Marketing Season on Minimum Support Price.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Paddy procurement in Chhattisgarh under the minimum support price scheme started from 1st December and lasted till 29th January. During this period, more than 92 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was procured. This year 21 lakh fifty-two thousand farmers had registered themselves, out of which more than 20 lakh 53 thousand farmers have sold their paddy at the support price.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">According to the state government, this year the paddy purchase broke&nbsp; the record of the last 20 years. Paddy is the major crop of Chhattisgarh and for this reason the state is known as the Rice Bowl of India.&nbsp;</span><br />
