Chhattisgarh is observing its tenth foundation day today. Various cultural programs have been organized to mark this occasion. The week-long statehood day celebrations, being held in the state capital Raipur, are also concluding this evening. More from our correspondent Chhattisgarh became a separate state on 1st November 2000. In ten years of its existence, Chhattisgarh has made substantial progress in many sectors. Meanwhile, State government is organizing statehood day celebrations across the state to mark this occasion. In Raipur, Rajyotsav functions will conclude this evening. A number of state level awards will be conferred to various different personalities for their outstanding contribution in their respective fields. Besides this, different colourful cultural programs are also being held to mark the occasion. While renowned artists presented their cultural programme in the state capital, folk artists from across the state will perform during the three day festivities to be organized at the district headquarters. Various state government departments had set up their stalls show-casing their progress. Meanwhile, statehood day celeberations has created tremendous enthusiasm among the people with a large number of people thronging the venue. Apart of this, all government buildings have been decorated.
