Chhattisgarh: Maoists kill two villagers in Rajnandgaon district

In Chhattisgarh, Maoists killed two villagers in Rajnandgaon district today. <br/><br/>Maoists abducted these villagers from inter-state border with Maharashtra while they were returning to their native Kherketta village. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, during last 24 hours Maoists set ablaze 28 vehicles in different parts of the tribal Bastar division. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports, Maoists have stepped up violence during the last one month in Chhattisgarh, setting ablaze vehicles in tribal Bastar region. <br/><br/>On Friday the Maoists set on fire 22 vehicles engaged in iron ore mines at Chargaon in Kanker district. <br/><br/>Last night, the rebels poured petrol and set ablaze five vehicles at Gumda village where the work on double line of railways was in progress. <br/><br/>In another incident, Maoists set ablaze a passenger bus on National Highway near Bhopalpattanam in Bijapur district. <br/><br/>Earlier, Maoists had caused extensive damage to 36 vehicles engaged in road construction work on the national highway.<br/><br/>Maoists have been using this tactics to unleash terror and to stall the ongoing road construction activities and other development works in the region.
