Chhattisgarh: Maoist gunned down in encounter in Bijapur district

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: left;"><span style="color: #222222; font-size: 10pt;">In Chhattisgarh, a Maoist was gunned down in an encounter with security forces in Bedre area of Bijapur district today morning. One Maoist has been apprehended and two rifles were recovered from the spot. The search operation has been intensified in the area. </span></p> <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, a team of District Reserve Guard- DRG has recovered an Improvised Explosive Device planted by Maoists from Kanhaiguda area in Sukma district.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports that Maoist triggered an IED blast near Gome village at  Kanker district of Bastar division today morning targeting a Border Security Force team. The BSF team was on a area domination operation in Koyalibeda area. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A sub Inspector was injured in the incident.  According to police officials, the injured personal is being evacuated to Udanpur BSF camp.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">On other hand, Elaborate security and other arrangements are being made for smooth conduct of tomorrow's first phase of polling in Chhattisgarh to elect a new Assembly. 18 constituencies in eight Naxal-affected districts will go to polls in this phase. </span>
