The Chhattisgarh government is in touch with the Odisha government to trace out abducted Sukma district collector. Odisha Home Secretary, U.N. Behra today told media persons at Bhubaneswar that both the neighbouring states are sharing intelligence information to find out the Sukma District collector who is in the captivity of the Maoists. He however said, there is no link between the abduction of Odisha MLA, Jina Hikaka and the Collector. He also said, the Odisha government is putting all its efforts to free the abducted MLA who is in the captivity of the Maoists since one month. Meanwhile, Human Rights activist and Vice President of the national executive of People's Union of Civil Liberties (PUCL), Binayak Sen on Tuesday appealed to the CPI (Maoists) to unconditionally release abducted Sukma District Collector, Alex Paul Menon, as soon as possible. Mr. Sen who worked in the tribal belt of Chhattisgarh for a long time, said that the abducted district collector should be maintained unharmed until his release and all medical facilities should be extended to him.
