The Chhattisgarh Government has decided to handover the case of the death of the Superintendent of Police of Bilaspur district to the CBI.

Responding to the vociferous demand of the opposition Congress the Chief Minister, Dr. Raman Singh today declare in the Assembly that the Central government is to be requested for a CBI investigation into the case.

It was on this issue that the opposition Congress had stalled the proceedings of the Chhattisgarh Assembly yesterday for which the House had to be adjourned till today.

It may be recalled that the Superintendent of Police of Bilaspur, Mr. Rahul Sharma is said to have shot himself dead with his service revolver last Monday.
