Chhattisgarh CM invites PM to visit Naxal-hit areas of the state

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and invited him to visit the state, especially the Naxal-hit areas of Bastar and Sarguja. He said it will send out a positive message to the people against Naxalism.<br/><br/>Talking to reporters after a 15-minute meeting with the Prime Minister, Mr Raman Singh said, the PM has asked him to prepare a detailed tour programme so that he can plan his visit accordingly.<br/><br/>On use of air strikes against Maoists, Mr Raman Singh said he believed in logistical air support under which helicopters could be used for ferrying those injured in landmine and IED blasts. <br/><br/>Chhattisgarh police, in the meantime, have launched an operation to trace the huge quantity of chemical looted by the Naxals on Wednesday.
