Chhattisgarh has become the 35th State and Union Territories to implement One Nation One Ration Card. The migrant National Food Security Act, NFSA beneficiaries of Chhattisgarh will now be able to take the benefit of subsidised foodgrains at any Fair Price Shop across the country. Consumer Affairs Ministry said, One Nation One Ration Card, ONORC has now covering 96.8 per cent NFSA population across 35 States and UTs.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The Ministry said, since the inception of the ONORC plan in August 2019, more than 56 crore portability transactions have been recorded so far in the States and UTs delivering nearly one hundred lakh tonnes foodgrains.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">One Nation One Ration Card is a technology driven distribution system which makes food security portable across the country and is very beneficial for migratory NFSA beneficiaries, who frequently change their place of dwelling in search of temporary employments. This provides them with an option to lift their entitled quota of foodgrains from any Fair Price Shop of their choice, anywhere in the country, by using their same ration card.</span><br />
