The Chhattisgarh Assembly on Wednesday once again witnessed uproarious scenes over a recent incident in which about three hundred houses of tribals under the Chintalnar police station area in the naxal affected Dantewada district were burnt down, allegedly by policemen during an operation against the naxalites. The Congress members were agitated over prohibiting a team of the Congress MLAs by the police from visiting the site of the incident in the Dantewada district the day before Tuesday. The members demanded imposition of President’s rule in the state. The entire question hour could not run due to sloganeering against the government by the opposition members. Meanwhile, Congress party leaders have also demanded imposition of President’s rule in the state. Talking to newsmen in Raipur Wednesday evening, the Congress leader Mr. V.Hanumant Rao and the President of the state Congress Mr. Dhanendra Sahu expressed concern over the deteriorating the law and order situation in the state.
