Chhattisgarh all-party meet on Maoist issue appeals to Centre to prepare work plan to tackle menace

An all-party meeting convened by Chattisgarh Chief Minister Dr.Raman Singh in Raipur on the Maoist issue today urged the Center to come out with a work plan to tackle the problem. The meeting agreed that Maoism is a national problem and not spececific to a state. The meeting was attended by BJP,CPI,CPM,NCP and BSP. Congress boycotted the meeting.
Congress maintained that such meetings have no meaning as the state government did nothing to provide security to Congress leaders in the state.
