In Chhattisgarh, five elephants have been found dead during last one week in the state. AIR Raipur correspondent reports that<span style="font-style: italic; text-decoration: underline;"> </span>Yesterday a male elephant got electrocuted after coming in contact with a live wire at a farm in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh, while a calf died after getting stuck in marshy land in Dhamtari. Two men have been arrested for allegedly leaving live wires exposed near their farm in Raigarh.<br />'' <br />''Earlier, three female elephants were found dead in the Suguja division of the state last week. Bodies of these three female wild elephants were found in the jungles of Balrampur and Surajpur district. Meanwhile, the state's forest minister Mohammad Akbar had ordered a high-level probe in the matter.The forest department has suspended four officials, including a sub-divisional forest officer , over the deaths of three female elephants. A show cause notice has also been served to District Forest Officer -DFO of Balrampur range. <br />
