Chhattisgarh: 181 mobile towers to be installed in Maoist affected areas

In Chhattisgarh, as many as One Hundred and Eighty One Mobile Towers will be installed in the Maoist-affected areas of the state.

AIR correspondent reports that this was decided in the meeting of Unified Command held in Raipur yesterday. This unified Command was constituted to control the Left Wing Extremism.

Presiding over the meeting, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh asked the officials of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited- BSNL to complete the task as soon as possible.

The Chief Minister said that the Raipur- Jagdalpur- Konta National Highway would soon be constructed under the supervision of Central Reserve Police Force- CRPF.

Moreover, Solar light polls would also be installed in the Maoist-affected villages, where electricity line is not available. Meanwhile, three Maoists have surrendered before the police in Bijapur.
