Chhatisgarh Vidhan Sabha adjourned amidst pandemonium

The Chhattisgarh Vidhasabha today witnessed uproarious scenes with the opposition Congress resorting to sloganeering through out the proceedings of the house. The agitating Congress members were demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh over the recent incidences of kidnapping and killing of innocent kids and the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. As soon as the house assembled for the second day today, the Opposition members started slogan shouting against the treasury bench. When it continued despite the Speaker’s pacification efforts, he adjourned the house twice, for brief periods. When the house reassembled, the Opposition members walked to the well of the house shouting slogans, thereby inviting their suo moto suspension from the house for the rest of the day. After pushing the business of the house through the din beyond the question hour, the speaker adjourned the house till tomorrow.
