The Chhath Puja concluded today with offerings to the rising Sun this morning. In Bihar, amid traditional chhath folk songs, devotees started gathering at various river ghats, ponds and water reservoirs in the wee hours to make their offerings to the Sun. AIR Patna correspondent reports that roads and ghats were tastefully decorated with flowers and lights of different colours. Crackers were burst at the time of oblations to the rising Sun. Lakhs of devotees stood in knee-deep water on the banks of various rivers including Ganga, Gandak and Kosi paid oblations to the rising Sun . A large number of devotees performed Chhath puja at Sun temples in Deo of Aurangabad, Bargao of Nalanda and Pandarak in Patna districts. A large number of people, including women and children attired in sparkling garments turned up at the ghats to watch arghya offerings.
