The ancient Hindu festival dedicated to the Sun God, Chhat, is being celebrated many parts of the country with full enthusiasm. Large number of people gathered on ghats to worship the setting sun. Tuesday, being the last day, offerings would be made to the early rising Sun. Chhat is widely celebrated in Bihar and Jharkhand and is considered to be one of the most rigorous and pure forms of worship by most of the people. Chhath is the only festival in the world in which Setting Sun is worshiped.
