Senior leader of Nationalist Congress Party Chagan Bhujbal was today remanded to judicial custody till March 31 by a special sessions court in Mumbai today in connection with the alleged money laundering involved in Delhi-based Maharashtra Sadan construction scam and the Kalina land grabbing case. The court had on March 15 remanded Bhujbal custody of the Enforcement Directorate till today.<br/><br/>In the special PMLA court today, Bhujbal's Advocate alleged that the ED officials did not initiated proceedings of the enquiry and made his client to sit idle throughout yesterday when he was ready to give statement. Bhujbal's Advocate also told the court that Bhujbal is not keeping well and is suffering from asthma. While, The ED counsel Hiten Venegaonkar sought another seven day ED custody of Bhujbal.<br/><br/>Earlier this morning, Chagan Bhujbal's nephew Sameer was brought to the ED office for a face to face confrontation on the alleged money laundering cases. Later, Bhujbal was taken to Mumbai's J J Hospital for a routine check-up. Chagan Bhujbal, his son Pankaj, nephew Samir and 19 others are booked under the alleged illegal transactions to the tune of several hundred crores, under the provisions of PMLA Act Between 2007 and 2011.
