Rising Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara has bagged this year's ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year award. The annual ICC awards were announced in Dubai on Friday. This is his first-ever ICC Award for Pujara, who became the second fastest Indian to score 1,000 Test runs during the course of his double hundred against Australia in March at Hyderabad.Earlier, Indian Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni had clinched this year's ICC People's Choice award. The announcement was made earlier this month.
