Indian shuttlers Chetan Anand and Parupalli Kashyap have crashed out of the World Badminton Championships. In the men's singles first round in Paris today, Chetan lost to Singapore's Ong Zhao Ashton Chen in straight games 14-21 18-21. Last night, Kashyap was defeated by Thailand's Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk in a 56-minute first round match. He lost in three games 21-14 14-21 16-21. With the exit of both Chetan and Kashyap, Indian challenge in men's singles has ended in the championship. Tomorrow, World Number Two Saina Nehwal, who got a bye in the first round, will take on Hsiao Huan Chen of Chinese Taipei in the Women's singles second round.
