In Chennai Test, chasing England's first innings 477 runs, India were 60 for no loss in their first innings at the end of second day of the fifth and final match. Opener Lokesh Rahul on 30 and Parthiv Patel on 28 were at the crease at stumps. India were trailing by 417 runs. Earlier, English team were all out for 477 after resuming the day at an overnight score of 284 for four. All-rounder Moeen Ali was the highest contributor with 146 followed by Joe Root 88. Dawson and along with?Adil?Rashid, who made 60, put the tourists in a comfortable position. For the hosts, Ravindra Jadeja was the highest wicket taker with three for 106. India are leading the five-match cricket series 3-0. India has already won the five-Test cricket series.
