All-rounder Moeen Ali lifted England's sagging spirit by compiling a well-crafted century as the visitors made a solid start against India in this Test. Moeen's 120-run unbeaten knock was the highlight of today's play as England, having already conceded the five-match series following three successive defeats, recovered. Ben Stokes on 5 was the other unbeaten batsman at the crease. Root with 88 runs also contributed significantly to his team's huge total. For India Jadeja bagged 3 wickets giving 73 runs .
