Chennai Open: Yuki Bhambri shocks Karol Beck of Slovakia

In Chennai Open Tennis tournament, Indian Yuki Bhambri shocked higher ranked Karol Beck of Slovakia 6-2 6-3 to make the second round of the ATP Men's Single yesterday.Displaying tremendous variations in pace and game plan, Bhambri, eked out his second Men's tour win after defeating the Slovakian in 79 minutes in front of a sparse crowd at the Centre Court.On the other hand, Vishnu Vardhan lost to Ivan Dodig of Croatia, 6-4, 10-8, 6-1. However, he expressed happiness in giving sitting reply to every ball he faced. Vishnu has set his eyes now to play and qualify for the Grand slam.In another first round encounter, Israel's unseeded Dudi Sela brought about the first upset in the main draw, outplaying sixth seeded Italian Fabio Fognini in straight sets 6-0, 6-1, dropping just one game in the second set.Meanwhile, Tennis star Somdev Devvarman pulled out of Chennai Open due to a recurring shoulder injury.The announcement was made by tournament director Fernando Solres last night.
