In the Chennai Open Tennis championships, the Indian duo of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhuptahi stormed into the men's doubles semi-finals today. The pair defeated the combination of Marx Philip and Skupski Ken in straight sets 6-4, 7-6. In the men's singles, top seed and World Number Six Thomas Berdych of Czech Republic and Seventh seeded Xavier Malisse of Belgium entered the semi-finals. In the quarter-finals today, while Berdych beat Blaz Kavcic of Slovakia 6-3, 6-3, Malisse defeated German Bjorn Phau 6-0, 6-2.
