Making a stupendous start to his 2016 season, wild card entrant Ramkumar beat his Spanish rival Daniel Gimeno-Traver 6-2, 6-0 in the opening round of ATP Chennai Open. This was the second biggest win of Ramkumar's career.However, Somdev Devvarman was knocked out of the Chennai Open yesterday. Somdev, ranked 177th, lost 3-6, 6-3, 3-6 to 18 year old Russian wild card entry Andrey Rublev in the first round match.
