India's Rohan Bopanna and India-bornAmerican Rajeev Ram progressed with ease into the doubles event quarterfinals of the Chennai Open tennis tournament last night .The third seeded pair took just an hour to dispose off Lu Yen-Hsun (Tpe) and Go Soeda (Jpn) 6-4, 6-3 and they will take on Benoit Paire of France and Stanislas Wawrinka (Sui) in the quarterfinal tie.Later in a late night match, favourites and top seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Daniel Nestor of Canada defeated India wild cards duo of Sriram Balaji and Jeevan Nedunchezhian 6-3 6-0 in just 50 minutes.Earlier, Somdev Devvarman of India and Sergiy Stakhovsky of Ukraine got the better of the Dutch pair of Robin Haase and Igor Sijsling 7-5, 6-3.In the quarterfinals, Bhupathi and Nestor will take on Raven Klaasen of Russia and Nicholas Monroe of USA, while Somdev and Stakhovsky will face Ratiwatana brothers of Sanchal and sonchat.
