Indian pair of Rohan Bopanna and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan have cruised to the next round of men's doubles event at the Chennai Open Tennis tournament. They defeated the Brazil-Croatia duo of Marcelo Demoliner and Nikola Mektic 6-4, 6-4 yesterday. The Indo-Brazilian duo of Leander Paes and partner Andre Sa crashed out of the Doubles event. Paes and his partner were sent packing 4-6, 4-6 in 67 minutes by rising stars Divij Sharan and Purav Raja.World number six Marin Cilic made a shocking exit in men's singles after conceding victory to 117th ranked Jozef Kovalik of Slovakia. Kovalik defeated Cilic 7-6, 5-7,7-5 to advance to the quarterfinal. In another second round match, Ramos Vinolas defeated S.Darcis 6-2, 6-nil to advance to the quarterfinal.
