Thirteen passengers and four crew members of a private airlines escaped unhurt as front tyres of the aircraft burst while touching down at Chennai airport shortly after midnight last night. The aircraft which departed for Tiruchi at 10.30 pm could not land there due to inclement weather and returned to Chennai. Airport authorities said the runway remained closed till the aircraft was cleared. Flights were diverted till 3.00 am.
