Chelsea wins UEFA Champions League title

English Football Club, Chelsea has won its maiden UEFA Champions League title. Chelsea edged past hosts and German football giants Bayern Munich in penalty shoot outs, after a 1-1 draw, in the finals of the Championships, played in Munich last night. It was 1 goal apiece in the stipulated 90 minutes, with both the goals coming in the second half. Bayern scored first with a header from Thomas Mueller in the 83 minute. Just 5 minutes later, Chelsea's star striker Didier Drogba equalised with a superb header in the 88th minute. Both the teams failed to break the deadlock in the two halves of extra time. But in the penalty shoot out, Chelsea after missing the first penalty in the form of Juan Mata, came back with all guns blazing and beat the hosts, 4-3 in penalties, to bag their first UEFA Champions League trophy.
