Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Prithviraj Chavan today gave away President Police Medals and Police Medals for Meritorious Service to the CBI officers in New Delhi .<br/><br/>Special medals for Best Detective Head Constable, Best Investigating Officer and the Best Branch of CBI were also given away. <br/><br/>The Minister presided over the D.P. Kohli Memorial lecture delivered by former Director General of CSIR, Dr. R.A. Mashelkar on Re-emergence of Innovation in India- Vision and Roadmap.<br/><br/>Dr. Mashelkar talked at length about the need to innovate and develop cost-effective technology. He advocated the pursuance of Gandhian principles in the process of technological development.
