The Chhattisgarh assembly today witnessed uproarious scenes over the suicide of the Superintendent of Police of Bilashpur district Mr. Rahul Sharma yesterday. The agitated opposition members of the Congress demanded CBI inquiry into the entire situation that led to the suicide of a young IPS officer. Terming as inadequate the magisterial inquiry into the incident ordered by the state government, the Congress members went to the extent of alleging that the S. P Mr. Sharma might have taken this extreme step due to the pressure mounted by the coal and mining mafia. Due to incessant sloganeering by the Congress members, the house had to be adjourned twice following which the question hour could not be conducted.
