In Chhattisgarh, at least 11 policemen and the driver of the vehicle in which they were traveling, have been killed in a Naxal attack. Nine policemen died on the spot while two succumbed to injuries in hospital. The incident took place near Bhadrakali in the Naxal affected Bijapur district. According to police source, the vehicle borne policemen came under Naxal attack as they were returning from Bhopal Patnam. Police also claimed to have gunned down three Naxalites in the encounter. However, none of the bodies of the Naxalite killed has been recovered.
