Charging extra money beyond MRP a crime: Paswan

Minister for Consumer Affairs Ram Vilas Paswan said charging extra money beyond MRP is a crime. <br/><br/>Inaugurating a seminar on the occasion of World Standards Day in New Delhi today, Paswan said there are many complaint that Air Lines, Hotels and Cinema Halls are over charging. He said his ministry will take action against him. <br/><br/>Minisiter said Make in India programme can become successful only if Bureau of Indian Standards- BIS evolves international level Standards. <br/><br/>Paswan emphasized on the consumer protection through standards. <br/><br/>Our correspondent reports that, World Standards Day celebrated each year on 14 October. The day honors the efforts of the thousands of experts who develop voluntary standards within standards development organizations. The objective of the day is to create awareness among regulators, industry and consumers as to the importance of standardization in the global economy.
