This year's IPL winners Kolkata Knight Riders were given a grand felicitation yesterday, with cricketers, film stars, politicians and sports lovers converging at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata to witness the ceremony. KKR owners Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla were also felicitated in the presence of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Several film stars, singers, former cricketers, sports personalities and many state Ministers were present on the occasion.KKR anthem, 'Korbo Lorbo Jitbo Re' reverberated the sprawling stadium.However, chaotic and unruly scenes were witnessed outside the Eden Gardens as thousands of KKR supporters tried to enter the stadium to witness the felicitation ceremomy. At times, police had to wield lathis to disperse the crowd.
