Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani has said that students of Indian Institutes of Management, IIMs should also study the changes happening in their states along with studying management practices within the country and abroad. <br/><br/>Addressing the convocation of IIM Raipur in Chhattisgarh, she said the changes happenings in our surroundings needs attention and proper documentation. Mrs. Irani said successful streamlining of public distribution system and steps taken to reduce transmission loss in energy sector are examples of effective management practices in Chhattisgarh. <br/><br/>140 students of IIM Raipur were awarded degrees at the convocation ceremony. Four students received gold medals. <br/>Speaking on the occasion, chief minister Raman Singh said management is an integral part of every sphere of life be it society, administration, jobs, politics or elections. He said the state government has prepared and implementing a 20 year long plan for state's development.
