Ms. Chandresh Kumari Katoch assumed charge as Union Minister of Culture on Monday. Talking to reporters after assuming charge in New Delhi, Ms. Katoch said that her priority will be to make the monuments of the country more visitors friendly and improve the quality of country’s museums.

Ms. Katoch said, she will also focus to energize the Library Mission and to promote archival initiatives work.

She said, her Ministry will promote classical and folk arts through the various organizations in the country.
