Chandigarh has topped the list of 423 cities for providing better sanitation facilities. This was announced by the Urban Development Minister Mr. S. Jaipal Reddy in New Delhi today. Mysore took the second spot followed by Surat. <br/><br/>Speaking on the ocassion, Mr. Reddy said that the government had launched a National Rating Exercise last year for these cities to galvanise action in states and cities towards better sanitation. He also expressed the hope that the ratings will indeed mobilize all stakeholders to priorities and take action for improving sanitation.<br/>
