<br />'' Chandigarh Administration has announced to lift the curfew from midnight tonight in the city. Meanwhile, the Administration has extended the lockdown period in the city by two weeks upto 17th of May. The decision was taken in the daily War Room meeting presided over by the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh V P Singh Badnore, as per the suggestions received from various stakeholders.<br />'' <br />'' An official Spokesman said, the containment zone in the city will be restricted to the pockets identified and notified by Administration. There will be intensive screening and testing of all cases within the containment pockets as per protocol, he added.<br />'' <br />'' He said that the markets in sectors will remain open from 07.00 A.M. to 07.00 P.M. The vehicles will also be allowed to ply during the same period without passes. However, he said, Odd-Even formula will be applied in respect of both opening of shops and use of vehicles.<br />'' <br />'' Tomorrow, only shops with ending even number will open and vehicles ending with even numbers will be allowed to ply on roads. The rotation will continue accordingly. He said that the essential items shops like groceries, vegetables and medicines can be opened on all days.<br />'' <br />'' The Spokesman said that restaurant, eating places and Apni Mandis, big shopping malls and complexes such as in Sector-17 Market or those on sector dividing roads will remain closed.<br />'' <br />'' The delivery of cooked food by online agencies will not be allowed. He said that distribution of fruits and vegetables by the Government buses will continue.<br />'' <br />'' The Spokesman further said, Sampark Centres and government offices will be functional as per the norms. <br />''  <br />
