Voting was low in the Union Territory of Chandigarh with 42 percent polling recorded till 4.30 PM today. Polling has been peaceful polling. Only 2 lakh 57 thousand voters have cast their vote out of total 6 lakh 13 thousand voters.

Only few voters were seen outside the polling booths. Turnout is more in the outer areas and villages of the city as compared to the main town.
