<span style="color: #222222;">The Chandigarh Met department today said, light to moderate rainfall, 1 to 3 cm, at few places, which will very likely commence from Southern parts of Haryana tomorrow evening and very likely to cover most parts of Haryana and Chandigarh and many parts of Southern eastern and North eastern Punjab during subsequent 48 hours.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">   </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Met department has predicted heavy rainfall of 7 to 10 cm at  isolated places over Haryana and eastern Punjab during this period that is 19th to 20th May.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A spokesman of the department said that the said spell is also likely to be accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds which will blow at the speed of 40 to 50 km per hour.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Explaining about the expected impact the department said, it may lead to waterlogging at low lying areas, old and weak structures, standing and harvesting crops may damage.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The department has suggested to avoid going to the low lying areas, venturing into water logged areas and avoid application of fertilizers and insecticides. The department has also warned the public not to stop near weak structures and not take shelter under trees, as the large branches of which may fall during thunderstorms and gusty winds.</span><br />''  <br />
