<span style="color: #222222;">Chandigarh Administration has ordered massive restrictions including ban on Holi Milan gatherings, closure of school and colleges till March 31 in the area of Union Territory due to rising cases of Covid 19.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The orders were issued after the meeting of  civil and police officers and heads of premier health institutes chaired by  Governor of Punjab and Administrator of  UT Chandigarh, VP Singh Badnore at Punjab Raj Bhawan  today.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The UT Administrator V P Singh Badnore  directed to intensify the contact tracing  and mandatory  testing of all those, who came into contact with corona positive cases. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also directed  that visitors reaching Chandigarh by bus, train, air and other public transport modes should be invariably screened and wherever symptoms found, those people must be tested to check infection.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports all eating places, restaurants, hotels including food joints in various Malls will run only with 50% capacity and  will close by 11:00 PM and the last order can be taken till 10:00 PM. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The State Museums, Libraries, Auditoriums, Theatres etc. run by Chandigarh Administration will remain closed till further orders.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The permission from Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh will be mandatory for holding any event including political and social gatherings and even wedding events. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The number of guests will be restricted by the Deputy Commissioner. The hosts in various events such as marriages, political gatherings and other such events will ensure that all participants wear masks. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Wherever necessary, they must distribute masks to the participants. No new permission will be granted for holding any exhibition/mela to entertain gatherings. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">However, all those, which have been allowed earlier may be allowed to complete as per their scheduled programme.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The administration has also banned  all public Holi-Milan gatherings.  The clubs, hotels, restaurants etc. will also not allow any ceremonial gatherings for Holi. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The residents have been informed to celebrate the Holi festival at home while following appropriate covid protocol. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Besides it the strict monitoring of Covid Appropriate Behaviour will be done in crowded places like Sukhna Lake, Apni Mandis, Markets & Malls. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Municipal Corporation directed to l allow vegetable/fruit vendors to sell vegetables/fruits in carts by visiting various residential areas to  reduce the crowd in Apni Mandis and Wholesale Market in Sector 26 of Chandigarh.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Administrator further appealed to the medical authorities to ensure that they are in readiness to handle the increasing number of covid patients, who are coming for treatment in the hospitals. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also directed them to ensure that there is no wastage of available vaccine and that FIFO principle should be strictly followed while utilizing the available vaccine.</span>
