Chandigarh administration acts on magisterial inquiry; asks sschool principal to return medal

The Chandigarh administration has intiated action on magisterial inquiry made public on Thursday. The education department has asked Sister Sebastina to return the medal, merit certificate and cash prize awarded to her in 2005 for her meritorious work in the field of education. Father Thomas and spokesman of Chandigarh Shimla Diocese has rejected the recommendations of inquiry report against Sister Sebastina. He said that Diocese will take no action against Principal Sister Sebastina as she has not done anything wrong.<br/><br/>Chandigarh Home secretary Ram Niwas said that they have based their findings on the school record and given a fair and transparent version, now it`s their moral responsibility, which they can choose to shun if they want.<br/><br/>Meanwhile Haryana government has sent reference to the Central Government, ordering a reprobe by the CBI in all three fresh cases registered against Rathore. Ruchika`s family has demanded immediate arrest of Rathore.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent Ashwini Kr Sharma reports from Chandigarh that reacting on demand of immediate arrest of former DGP S P S Rathore, Panchkula SP Manish Choudhary said that Haryana Police will hand over case to CBI with in two or three days and CBI will take the next step.<br/><br/>Yesterday, Panchkula Session court has dismissed the bail plea of Rathore and coaccused ASI Sewa Singh. According to sources CBI will take over the case on 12th of January and it will register three regular cases, primarily a reproduction of the already registered FIR`s.<br/><br/>Meantime Ruchika`s father S C Girhotra has demanded immediate judicial interrogation of Rathore and co-accused police officials.
