Champions Trophy: India start campaign with 26-run victory over S.Africa

India have kicked off their campaign in the ICC Champions Trophy Cricket tournament with a comfortable 26-run victory over South Africa.In the inaugural Group 'B' match at Cardiff last night, after scoring 331 for seven, India bowled out the Proteas for 305 in exactly 50 overs. India collected two points for the win. Sent in to bat, openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma laid a solid foundation for India with a stand of 127. Man of the Match Dhawan scored his maiden ODI century and was out for 114. Rohit Sharma was the next highest scorer with 65. Ravindra Jadeja remained not out on 47.Today, Pakistan will take on the West Indies at the Oval in London in the second encounter of the tournament.
